UTPA Student-Athletes Honored as 2001 Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholars: Three UTPA student-athletes have been named 2001 recipients of the prestigious Arthur Ashe Jr. Sport Scholar award.
12/7/00 - IBC Invests In UT Pan American Student-Athletes: The International Bank of Commerce (IBC) has presented The University of Texas-Pan American (UTPA) with a $30,000 donation to directly benefit the Athletic Department’s general fund and its academic enhancement program. The sponsorship will be used to fund the existing Student-Athlete Academic Learning Center, the NCAA CHAMPS/Life Skills seminar series, as well as an enhanced tutorial program for student-athletes.
