HOTEL-MOTEL PARTNERSHIP IS A UTPA CORPORATE SPONSOR
EDINBURG, TX-The Edinburg Hotel-Motel Partnership
is a proud corporate sponsor of The University of Texas-Pan American
athletic program. The sponsorship is specifically designed to help
student-athletes at UTPA excel in academics as well as in athletics. The Edinburg Hotel-Motel Partnership presented a
check for $24,000 for UTPA Director of Athletics William J. Weidner at
the UTPA-New Mexico State basketball game at the UTPA Fieldhouse
February 11th. The head of the partnership, Mike Govind, said that
continuing their support of local students and community activities was
a priority. The Edinburg Hotel-Motel Partnership consists of
the Best Western Edinburg Inn and Suites, the Holiday Inn Express, the
Edinburg Executive Inn, the Echo Motor Hotel, the Rex Motel, the
University Inn, the Super 8 and the Comfort Inn. Representatives of each
of the members of the partnership were on hand for the presentation. “We are very appreciate of the outstanding
support that our athletic program has received from the Edinburg
Hotel-Motel Partnership,” said Weidner. “This partnership will
greatly assist our continued efforts in developing an NCAA Division I
athletic program that will proudly represent The University of Texas-Pan
