Get Ready for Another Action-Packed Year of UTPA Basketball

Once again, the UTPA Fieldhouse will be South Texas' headquarters for basketball as the Broncs and Lady Broncs begin another action-packed season! The Broncs will play 15 home games, including a pair of exhibition games, at the UTPA Fieldhouse, and will also meet Southern Methodist in the season opener at a neutral site-the South Padre Island Convention Center. Texas-Pan American has a challenging home schedule that features Lamar and Texas-Arlington of the Southland Conference, Air Force of the Mountain West, North Texas and Arkansas State of the Sun Belt, as well as Missouri-Kansas City of the Mid-Continent Conference and Alcorn State of the Southwestern Athletic Conference. In-state opponents McMurry, Southwest Assemblies of God and Texas A&M-International and Central Baptist of Conway, Arkanas fill out the home schedule. The Broncs will also play exhibition games against Monterrey Tech and Houston Quest, and will open their season with the game against SMU at South Padre Island.

Fifth-year Head Coach Bob Hoffman has established an exciting, up-tempo brand of basketball. Two years ago, the Broncs had their best season since 1989-90, finishing with a 20-10 record. The Broncs will play the second half of a doubleheader six times, following Lady Bronc basketball games on five occasions. The sixth game will be the exhibition opener against Monterrey Tech, which follows the final home UTPA volleyball match of the season on Senior Night.
   
Your season ticket package also includes tickets to all 12 Lady Bronc home games. Join Head Coach DeAnn Craft as she continues a new era in Texas-Pan American women’s basketball. Three years ago, the Lady Broncs set a record for wins as an NCAA Division I member.  
   
This season, the Lady Broncs will blend an experienced group of players and an exciting group of newcomers as they continue to move up the charts. The home schedule includes visits from Marshall and Central Michigan of the Mid-American Conference, Southeastern Louisiana of the Southland Conference, Oral Roberts of the Mid-Continent Conference, Prairie View A&M of the Southwestern Athletic Conference, Louisiana-Lafayette of the Sun Belt, fellow independents Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, Indiana-Purdue Fort Wayne and Northern Colorado, and in-state rivals Texas A&M-International, St. Edward's and Incarnate Word. The Lady Broncs will play five games as the first half of doubleheaders, prior to men's basketball home games.
