BRONCS ADD CHRIS FAGAN OF TRINIDAD STATE

EDINBURG, TX–The University of Texas-Pan American’s men’s basketball team has added a fourth recruit for the fall.

Chris Fagan, a 6-5 forward from the New York City borough of the Bronx, Storm King High School in Cornwall, New York and Trinidad State College in Trinidad, Colorado will join the Broncs. Fagan will enter UTPA as a junior, with two years of eligibility remaining.

Fagan averaged 22.6 points, 6.7 rebounds and 2.2 steals per game for the Trojans, ranking third in Region IX of the National Junior College Athletic Association in scoring, 20th in rebounding, and tenth in steals. He led his team in scoring in half of their games, and scored 33 points twice: one against Garden City Community College, and once against Colby Community College.

“Chris is a really good one-on-one player,” said UTPA Head Coach Bob Hoffman. “He is explosive, can get to the rim, and has a knack of finding ways to score baskets. He’s very strong and very physical, and has big hands. He adds versatility to the group of players we have coming back. We’re glad to add Chris as our last recruit this year.”

Fagan is the fourth player signed by the Broncs for this fall.
