Was part of the Edinburg Bobcats, who are the only team in the RGV to make back-to-back Sweet 16 appearances...  Was a member of the National Honor Society...  Was named Who's Who Among High School Students for four years...Received the USSA Achievement Academy Award in Science in 1999...  Graduated in top 10%.
