Freshman Bunte Top Finisher for UT-Pan American Men’s Golf at Tulane Deep South Invite.

ABITA SPRINGS, LA- The University of Texas-Pan American Men’s Golf Squad finished in 18th place at the Tulane Deep South Invitational, played at the Money Hill Country Club in Abita Springs on Tuesday.

Southeastern Louisiana took home team medallist honors after compiling a three round team score of 853.  The Broncs turned in a team score of 929.

Jacques Chevallier of Southeastern Louisiana earned individual medallist honors after shooting 71, 69, and 70 for a total of 210.  Freshman Jordan Bunte continues to pace the Broncs.  Bunte shot a final round 76 and finished in a tie for 39th with 223 total strokes.  Todd Grubert, another freshman, ended the tournament with a 79.  Grubert’s three-round total of 227 placed him 59th.  Santiago DeLarrea placed 83rd with 237 strokes.  Steven Slaughter and Miquel de Los Santos finished 86th and 87th with totals of 243 and 245 respectively.

The Broncs will hit the links again at the Bethune Cookman Invitational in Daytona Beach, Fl on October 30-31.
