“If you look at the team scores,
they’re a lot closer than they were last week,” said UTPA Head Coach Ricky
Vaughn. “Amy Moses set a school
record, Lovie Mathis had a personal best in the long jump, Isaac Ybarra had a
personal record in the hammer, and Jeff Martzall a seasonal best in the pole
vault. We had an overall good
performance. I think if we had done
things a little different here and there, we would have scored more points.
My whole focus has been on individual performances, and to do well in
each event.”
