Westly Keating4/5/03- Marlin Manley qualified for NCAA regionals, and the track teams turned in another strong performance at the Texas Relays.

4/3/03- The Track teams turned in strong performances at the Texas Relays, as Westly Keating finished first at 5,000 meters, while Rowena Hamlet and junior Patty Villarreal did well in their respective races.

4/2/03-The Broncs will compete at the Texas Relays this weekend.

3/29/03- The men's and women's track teams set six meet records at the Angela Procter Open

3/28/03- Westly Keating qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships with a strong performance at the Stanford Invitational

3/27/03- UTPA will host the Angela Procter Open this Saturday, and Westly Keating will be heading to the Stanford Invitational.

3/22/03-12 Personal Bests: UTPA posted 12 personal records at the UTSA/Whataburger Relays.

3/20/03-Track Heads North:
The Broncs will visit the UTSA/Whataburger Relays this weekend.

3/8/03-Record Falls Again:
Westly Keating broke the school 3000 meter record at Iowa State, and UTPA had 17 personal bests at the Javelina Relays Saturday.

3/7/03-Record Falls:
Westly Keating broke the school record at 3000 meters at the Alex Wilson Invitational.

3/7/03-Meets Set:
Westly Keating will compete at a last chance meet, while the rest of the Broncs open their outdoor season this weekend.

2/15/03-Two Records Fall:
Two more school records fell at the UH/RunSport All-Comers Meet Saturday.

2/8/03-More Records Fall:
Three school records fell at the Houston Indoor Invitational.

The Broncs broke three school records at Houston Saturday.

1/30/03-Broncs Visit Houston:
The Broncs will visit the Houston Indoor Classic Saturday.

1/25/03-Broncs 6th at Houston:
The Broncs finished sixth at the Houston Indoor Opener.

1/24/03-Opening Weekend:
The Broncs open at Houston Saturday.

8/29/02-Molnar Named Assistant Coach:
Doug Molnar has joined the staff as an assistant coach.

6/28/02-Broncs Add Rojas: Hurdler Marco Rojas will join the UTPA men's track and field team.

5/18/02-Track Ends Season: The UTPA Track and Field Team concluded their season at the Georgia Tech Invitational Saturday

5/17/02-UTPA Tries to Qualify:
Two UTPA athletes will try to qualify for the NCAAs at Georgia tech this weekend. 

5/15/02-Broncs Sign Castro:
The Broncs signed Aaron Castro for the fall.


5/7/02-Honors at UTPA Athletic Banquet:
Awards were given out at UTPA's annual athletic banquet.

5/4/02-UTPA Does Well at Texas:
The UTPA track and field team turned in a solid performance at the Texas Invitational.

4/27-Ben Does Well At Drake:
Rashaad Ben finished eighth in the hurdles at the Drake Relays, while Robert Lopez was second in the hammer at the Rice/RunSport Twilight Invitational. . 

4/26-Drake Relays:
Rashaad Ben made the hurdles finals at the Drake Relays.

4/25-First Day at Drake:
Jeff Martzall withdrew from the pole vault at the Drake Relays. 

4/20/02-Broncs PR at SW Bell Classic:
Two Broncs had personal bests at the Southwestern Bell Classic.

4/13/02-Records Fall at Angelo State:
The UTPA track and field team set two school records at the Angelo State Relays. 

4/5/02-Partch Sets UTPA Mark at Texas Relays:
Valerie Partch broke the UTPA high jump record at the Texas Relays.

Moses Sets Record:  Sophomore Amy Moses set a school record and seven other UTPA athletes won events at the Angela Procter Invitational Friday afternoon

  The UTPA track and field team hosts the Angela Procter Invitational Friday.
