Hill: Academic Counselor/Life Skills Coordinator for Athletics

Hill is in charge of the NCAA Champs/Life Skills program at Texas-Pan American. She is heavily involved in the freshman/transfer orientation program, and assists in overseeing the academic progress of UTPA's student-athletes. A former top field athlete at UT Pan American, Hill is a graduate of McAllen's Nikki Rowe HS. She owns Lady Bronc school records in both the hammer throw and 20-pound weight throw, setting both marks as a senior. At the Louisiana State Indoor Invitational, Hill broke the school record in the weight throw with a toss of 45 feet,6 1/2 inches. During the outdoor season, she broke the school record in the hammer throw for the third time with a toss of 149 feet, 6 inches at the Arizona Elite Classic. She had seven top 10 finishes as a senior. Hill was named to the UTPA Athletic Director’s Honor Roll in each of her four years, and is also very active in her church. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Social Work at UTPA in 2000, and is currently attending graduate school. Hill is the daughter of David and Aurora Hill. |
