UT-Pan American Lady Broncs Lead After Day One of Lady Bronc Golf Classic
EDINBURG -- The University of Texas-Pan American Lady Broncs lead after two rounds in the Lady Bronc Golf Classic held at Cimarron Country Club Wednesday.
The Lady Broncs finished day one with a team score of 657. Jamie McInturrf leads all golfers after firing an opening round of 76 and a second round of 79. Tootie Lauzon finished day two in second place behind McInturff with a two round total of 162. Jeannie Lane is in third place with a score of 164. Alejandra Gutierrez turned in a two round score of 176, good enough for sixth place overall. Melissa Schaefer is currently ninth overall with 178 total strokes. Adriana Espinosa, playing as an individual, is in a tie for eleventh place with a score of 181.
M. Newman-Gillespie turned in Texas A&M-Corpus Christi’s lowest score shooting a 166 over two rounds. TAMCC is in second place with a team total of 692. Centenary College turned in a team score of 726. Marla Frederick who totaled 177 strokes in two rounds turned in Centenary’s lowest score.
The Lady Bronc Golf Classic concludes Thursday at the Cimarron Country Club with the final 18 holes.
