McInturff Leads UT Pan American Women’s Golf to Sixth Place at Oral Roberts Invite.

TULSA, OKLA. – Jamie McInturff finished 19th overall, leading the University of Texas-Pan American women’s golf team to a sixth place finish in the Oral Roberts University Invitational Tuesday afternoon at the Broken Arrow Golf and Country Club.

McInturff shot a final round 81 to finish with a two-round total of 167.  She finished behind the trio of Linzi Morton (Midland), Maria Jose Hurtado (Arkansas-Little Rock) and Laurie Vescovo (Arkansas-Little Rock), who all tied for medallist honors with a nine-over par 153.  Alejandra Gutierrez finished 35th with a 178, Jeannie Lane was 38th with a 180 and Tootie Lauzon was 39th with a 181.

Arkansas-Little Rock ran away with the team title, shooting a two-round total of 618 to finish 32 strokes ahead of host Oral Roberts.  Midland College took third place, just one stroke back of ORU with a 651.  North Texas was fourth with a 653 and Northeastern Oklahoma State was fifth with a 657.  The Lady Broncs took sixth place with a 698.

The Lady Broncs will return to action on Monday, April 3rd to Tuesday, April 4th in the BYU Dixie Classic in Provo, Utah.
