LADY BRONCS FINISH 13^TH AT ISLANDER SPRING INVITATIONAL

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – The University of Texas-Pan American’s women’s golf team finished 13^th at the Islander Spring Invitational, hosted by Texas A&M-Corpus Christi at Kings Crossing Country Club.

The Lady Broncs shot a final round score of 342.Their total of 1045 left them 37 strokes behind Xavier.

Texas-El Paso won the tournament with a score of 952. They were followed by Texas A&M-Corpus Christi at 956, Kansas at 963, Kansas State at 964, McLennan Community College at 969, Oral Roberts at 971, Notre Dame at 979, Lamar at 984, McNeese State at 996, and Northeastern State and Southwest Texas State at 1006.

Sophomore Crystal Frazier (Wortham, TX/Wortham HS) shot a final-round 84, and led the Lady Broncs by tying for 55^th with a 54-hole total of 259. Sophomore Itziar Unanue (Monterrey, Mexico/Colegio San Patricio) tied for 57^th, shooting an 87 Tuesday for 260. Freshman Christine Treanor (Bulverde, TX/ Smithson Valley HS) shot 86 Tuesday and 262 overall to finish 61^st. Senior Adriana Espinoza (Laredo, TX/Laredo CC) tied for 62^nd after shooting 85 and 264, and sophomore Christina Infante (Lyford, TX/ Lyford HS) finished 71^st with 100 Tuesday and 302 overall.

The Lady Broncs will return to action March 10^th at Sam Houston State.
