Pan American Women’s Golf in Seventh Place After Two Rounds of Pat
Bradley Invitational MIAMI,
FLA. – Itziar Unanue is tied for 20th place, leading the
University of Texas-Pan American women’s golf team after two rounds at
the 22nd annual FIU/Pat Bradley Invitational, held at the
Miami National Golf Club on Tuesday. Unanue, a
freshman from Monterrey, Mexico, has a two-round total of 164 to land
her in a tie for 20th place.
Adriana Espinoza is just three strokes behind her at 167.
She is tied for 24th.
Crystal Frazier is in 31st place with a 174 and Tootie
Lauzon is tied for 37th with a 180.
Playing as an individual Melissa Head fired a second round 74.
That tied for the fifth lowest single round in the tournament. Natalie
Navarro of Florida Atlantic and Michelle Simpson of Florida
International are tied for first with 146’s.
Ellen Dunne of Florida International fired a second round 72,
tied for the lowest of the tournament to place third overall.
Host FIU has a commanding 20 stroke lead in the team standings. The Golden Panthers have a 614 after two rounds, ahead of
second place Florida Atlantic with a 634.
Bethune Cookman is in third with a 648, Jackson State is in
fourth with a 655, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi is fifth with a 663,
Jacksonville is sixth with a 663 and UTPA and Barry are tied for seventh
with 665’s. The Pat Bradley Invitational will wrap up on Wednesday with the third and final round at the Miami National Golf Club. |
