LAFAYETTE, LA—The University of Louisiana-Lafayette defeated the Lady Broncs in tennis action the Monday 9-0.

Lady Bronc Maria Fernandez fell to Arina Uratani, 6-2, 6-2, in number one singles.  In number two singles, Sagnite Garcia lost to Michelle Mauad 6-2, 6-1.  Kristine Getchell fell to Maribeth Rivera 6-2, 6-1, in number three singles.  Linda Rodriguez lost to Amandine Hubert in number four singles, 6-, 6-2.  Mireya Villarreal fell to Amanda Cowieson 6-0, 6-0, in number five singles.  Denisse Martinez fell victim to Irena Novotna 6-0, 6-0, number six singles.

In doubles, Fernandez and Garcia lost to Mauad and Hubert in number one doubles 8-2, Getchell and Rodriguez lost to Uratani and Novotna while 4-1, after retiring due to an injury. Villarreal and Guzman fell to Rivera and Cowieson, 8-1 in number three doubles.

With the loss the Lady Broncs fall to 0-11.  The Lady Broncs return to action against The University of New Orleans on Wednesday, March 15, starting at 2:00 p.m.
