COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS -- The University of Texas-Pan American women's tennis team wrapped up the fall season at the Rolex Region VI Qualifier, which was hled on the Texas A&M University campus on Sunday.

Kristine Getchell and Sarah Voss both won four games before being eliminated in the first round.  Getchell fell to Debbie Bell of Texas Christian, 6-1, 6-3.

Sagnite Garcia was defeated in her opening match, falling to Anneli Axsater of Tulane, 6-0, 6-0.

In doubles, UTPA had two teams competing.  The tandem of Getchell and Voss lost to Elena Madjarova and Elizabeth Stone of UT-El Paso, 8-3, while Maria Fernandez and Garcia fell to Jessika Kjellgren and Leoni Weirich of TCU, 8-2.

The women's tennis team will start it's spring season on February 4th, when it faces the Ragin' Cajuns of Louisiana Lafayette in Denton, Texas.
