STATE DEFEATS LADY BRONCS
LAKE CHARLES, LA –Northwestern State (LA) defeated the University of Texas-Pan American women’s tennis team, 6-1 at the tennis courts at McNeese State University Saturday afternoon. Sophomore Jessica Brown (Sioux City, IA/North HS) was the only Lady Bronc to record a victory in the match. Brown defeated Camila Prado of the Lady Demons, 6-2, 6-2 at number six singles. Freshman Ana Pena (McAllen, TX/Nikki Rowe HS) lost to Ngoc Luu at number five, 1-6, 6-0, 6-4. NSU won all three doubles matches, claiming the doubles point. The Lady demons then won the first four singles matches in straight sets, clinching the victory. The Lady Broncs dropped to 1-6 with the defeat. UTPA will play McNeese State Sunday. NORTHWESTERN
