UTPA BASEBALL ADDS GAME TO REPLACE REYNOSA

EDINBURG, TX-The University of Texas-Pan American's baseball team has added a game to its schedule.

The Broncs' single game against Texas A&M-Kingsville next Tuesday, February 3rd has been rescheduled as a doubleheader, beginning at 4:00 p.m.

The game replaces the Broncs' exhibition game against the Reynosa Broncos of the Mexican League, which had been scheduled for March 3rd at Estadio Adolfo López Mateos in Reynosa. That game was cancelled because the Reynosa franchise has been moved, and is now known as the San Luis Tuneros.

"We were short a game because Reynosa moved their franchise to San Luis Potosi, which is seven hours south, so were not able to work things out to play them," said UTPA Head Coach Willie Gawlik. "We visited with other institutions to try to add another home game, and playing a doubleheader next Tuesday works for both of us."
