Another outstanding player from TEMPLE COLLEGE, Castillo will join Sergio Sanchez in teaming to give the Broncs an outstanding 1-2 punch........Castillo redshirted at INCARNATE WORD, then joined Temple for the second semester of his freshman year......As a sophomore, Castillo helped lead Temple to a 24-7 record, and a third place finish in the North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference........ The Leopards led the nation in scoring, averaging 102.4 points per game and advanced to the playoffs........Led Temple in scoring in conference play, averaging 18.1 points per game against conference opponents and 16.3 points per game overall.....Averaged 7.6 rebounds per game, 3.7 assists and 2.3 steals while making 52 per cent of his shots from the field......Shot 37 per cent from behind the three-point line......Named first team All-North texas Junior College Athletic Conference......Twice chosen as Conference Player of the Week...........Starred as a shooting guard at SOUTH SAN ANTONIO HIGH SCHOOL ......Averaged 23 points, eight rebounds, and four assists per game.
