A standout at EDINBURG HIGH SCHOOL, where he averaged 18 points, five rebounds, and five assists per game as a senior... Named first Team All-District in 1999 and again in 2000...Named second Team All-Region in 2000... Was District Co-Sophomore of the Year in 1998... A member of the only high school team in the Rio Grande Valley to make back-to-back Sweet 16 appearances in the state tournament... Named to the National Honor Society... Was chosen for Who's Who Among High School Students ineach of his four years at EHS...Received the USSA Achievement Academy Award in Science in 1999... Graduated in the top per cent of his class.

Born April 19, 1982… Son of Beatrice and Roel Rodriguez… Has a sister, Melissa and a twin brother, Roy, who is also on the team... Majoring in Finance at UTPA.
