EDINBURG, TX-The University of Texas-Pan American's men's basketball team will play at home for the first time in nearly two weeks when they host North Texas Wednesday evening. Game time is 7:30 p.m. at the UTPA Fieldhouse.

The Broncs are 3-5, and have lost two games in succession since their 86-83, double overtime victory at Texas-San Antonio December 6th.

Wednesday's game will be Texas-Pan American's final home game until December 31st. "We're excited about being home," said UTPA Head Coach Bob Hoffman. "It's good to play at home, and it would be great to get a good crowd."

North Texas brings a 3-3 record into Wednesday evening's game. The Mean Green are 3-3, and dropped a 62-58 decision at TCU Saturday after defeating Baylor, 73-69, four days prior to the TCU game.

"North Texas is a quality opponent," said Hoffman. "They're really good in transition, and they throw the ball into the post a lot. We'll have to do a really good job of containing them, and we'll also have to execute better. We haven't hit our stride yet, and we have to play well for 40 minutes in order to win."

After the UNT game, Texas-Pan American will hit the road, visiting Rice Saturday afternoon and Oklahoma State next Monday night.
