EDINBURG, TX-The University of Texas-Pan American's men's basketball team will try to win their fourth game in a row when they visit Indiana-Purdue-Fort Wayne Saturday afternoon at 1:00 p.m.

The Broncs will take an 8-13 record into Saturday's game at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum. "We're trying to win all the games that we have left," said UTPA Head Coach Bob Hoffman. "We're looking to make a run, and we've taken the first three steps. I think that we're continuing to get better. We're improving, and I think we're getting tougher mentally."

IPFW is 3-18, and has lost three games in succession since they defeated Tri-State, 93-81 at home January 19th. Texas-Pan American defeated the Mastodons, 81-60 at the UTPA Fieldhouse January 28th, a game that started both the Broncs' current three-game winning streak, and IPFW's three-game losing streak. The Mastodons, like UTPA, are an independent team, and they have played only seven games at home this season, where they are 3-4.

"They're a lot better than their record indicates," said Hoffman. "They've played a lot of good teams close, and it will be a tough game. It's never easy to win on the road, and they're playing in a new venue. We have to continue to execute offensively and defensively, and this will be a good game for us to see how much we have improved."
