Huntsville, Texas - Texas-Pan American opened the Bearkat Invitational with its second lowest round of the season at 299. The Broncs had shot a 296 in the first round of the Southern Chrysler Crown Classic on October 13, 2003.

Oklahoma City shot had three players shoot under par en route to a 282 which leads Southern Illinois by 12 strokes. Western Illinois is 3rd with a 296 and Stephen F. Austin is 4th with a 297. UTPA is tied for 5th with Eastern Illinois and Texas State-San Marcos.

Individually, Andreas Rydholm of Oklahoma City shot a four under 68 and leads by one stroke over his teammate, Tyrone Van Aswegen. Rudy Celedon (Sr./Edinburg, Texas/Edinburg North HS) shot a season-low 70. He is tied for 3rd with Kyle Hosick (Southern Illinois) and Matt Toohey (Rice).
