NORRIS SIGNS WITH BRONCS

EDINBURG, TX- The University of Texas-Pan American men's golf team has added its first recruit for the fall.

Colin Norris, from Cochrane High School in Calgary, Alberta, will join the Broncs this fall. He will enter as a freshman, with four years of eligibility.

Norris finished 14th at the Canadian Junior Championships. He played for the Alberta Provincial team, and his team took first place at the junior America's Cup. He also finished 11th at the Future Links Western Championship.

"I'm very excited about Colin coming to UTPA and joining the golf team," said UTPA Head Coach Mark Gaynor. "He has the experience, drive and goals that I expect from my golfers. Colin is a three-sport athlete, and all of his time and effort will now be geared towards golf. I am excited about his future, and I foresee him having a major impact on our program right away."
