2003 TRACK OUTLOOK: Bouret will focus his attention this year on the 800 meter run. He has the ability to be an outstanding 800 meter runner with outstanding speed and strength. COACH’S COMMENTS: “We are looking for Francisco to really step it up this season and get the job done. He has all the tools to be a great one.” 2001-02: Redshirted at UTPA. PREP: Bouret was the district champion at 400 meters in 49.50 seconds. He also ran on Pace’s district championship 4x100 and 4x400 meter relay teams, running a 48.2 second split in the 4 X 4. A team captain, he earned All-Rio Grande Valley honors, and was voted his teams Rising Newcomer. An all-around athlete, Bouret high-jumped 6-6, long-jumped 23-6, and also competed in the Texas State Swimming Championships in the 50 yard freestyle.
