Earned district championships in cross country and in the one mile and two mile runs in track at HOMER HANNA HIGH SCHOOL in Brownsville, Texas.....Won the individual championship twice at the District Cross Country Championships......Was twice district champ in the two mile run.......Team was district champ in cross country three times......Was district champ in the one mile run as a junior.......Finished first at the Dog Pound Invitational.......Best marks are 16:24 for 5000 meters, 4:28 for the mile and 9:43 for the two mile run.......Named to the All-Metro Team.......Was in the top five per cent of his class academically as a freshman and a sophomore, and in the top 10 per cent as a junior and as a senior.
