2004 TRACK OUTLOOK: Looking to return to regionals and try to qualify for nationals in the hurdles. COACH’S COMMENTS: “After redshirting indoors due to an injury, Rashaad came back and had a very solid outdoor season. I'm looking for him to have a very good year, get back to regionals and have an outside shot at qualifying for nationals.” 2002-03: Ran the 110 meter hurdles in 14.11 seconds at the UTPA Open, while finishing first in both home meets, the UTPA Open and the Angela Procter Invitational. Holds the school record for the 110 meter hurdles. Qualified for the NCAA regionals. 2001-02: He set the UTPA 60 meter hurdle record at Houston in 8.34 seconds, and dropped seven-tenths of a second off his all-time best mark in the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 14.17 seconds. Ben recorded five top five finishes, and made the finals at the Drake Relays. 2000-01: Ben set new UTPA school records in both the 55 meter hurdles indoors, and the 110 meter hurdles outdoors. He also saw action as a long and triple jumper for the Broncs. LANIER HS: Finished fourth in the 110m hurdles as a senior in 14.28 seconds, and was the individual high point scorer at the 4A state championships. Ben was also a three-time district champion in both the 110 meter hurdles, and the triple jump.
