2003 TRACK OUTLOOK: Roosevelt has improved throughout his career at UTPA and more of the same is expected this spring. He will concentrate on running 3000 and 5000 meters. COACH’S COMMENTS: “Roosevelt has done nothing, but get better and better throughout his career. He is a true example of what it means to be a student-athlete.” 2002 CROSS-COUNTRY: Campbell posted personal records almost every time out. He opened with a personal best for four miles at Corpus Christi, improved on that effort at San Antonio with a time of 23:14, and scored at the Texas A&M Invitational. He ended his collegiate cross-country career with his best effort ever for five miles, covering a muddy, hilly course at the Southern Independent Championships in 28:48, and finishing 16th overall. 2001-02: Campbell competed at 3000 meters indoors and 1500 meters outdoors for the Broncs.
