Edinburg, Texas - Texas Pan American will head back to Houston on Saturday to take to the cinder track once again. The Broncs and Lady Broncs will be competing in the Houston/Run Sport All-Comers meet hosted by the University of Houston.

The key person to watch is Rashaad Ben (Sr./Austin, Texas/Sidney Lanier HS). Last week in Houston, Ben ran :08.09 to break his own school record in the 60M Hurdles. He is 14/100th of a second from the NCAA Provisional Mark.

"Rashaad has a very good shot at the provisional mark." Said head coach Ricky Vaughn. "If he hits the provisional mark, we will look for another meet that will give him an opportunity to qualify for the national meet. He would have to run in the low :07.80's to get in, but there is always that shot. The hurdles are more about what kind of rhythm the runner is on the day of competition."

In terms of what coach Vaughn is looking for this weekend, he was pretty simple and direct. "I just want improvement from the last meet." He said. "I thought we had a very average meet but a lot of that is due to the fact that we have a lot of young kids. They haven't run indoors before and they don't know what that is about."
