Edinburg, Texas - Texas-Pan American will host the Angela Procter Invitational at the UTPA Track Stadium on Saturday, March 13. The meet is named for Angela Procter, who competed for the Texas-Pan American track and field team from 1994-99.

Texas-Pan American will be joined by Texas State-San Marcos, Texas-San Antonio and Dordt College (Sioux Center, Iowa) in the non-scored meet. Among the unattached athletes, Nathan Leeper has cleared 7-8.50 in the high jump and competed in the 2000 Olympic Games, Chris Adams is a 65 foot shot putter and Letitia Gilkes (UTSA) is an NCAA All-American in the 800.

"We're looking for improved performances from our first meet." Said head coach Ricky Vaughn. "It's always nice to run in front of the home crowd. There are a few events that we haven't done this year that will be included in the meet. That will be a challenge to do them."
