BRONCS SET TWO RECORDS

HOUSTON, TX-The University of Texas-Pan American track teams continued on their record-setting pace at University of Houston/RunSport All-Comers Meet at the Yeoman Fieldhouse. The Texas-Pan American teams shattered two personal bests and set two school records.

Junior Amy Moses (Edinburg, TX/Edinburg North HS) finished first in the weight throw with a personal best and school record throw of 60 feet, four inches. The distance was a school record, and was just 11 centimeters from the NCAA qualifying mark.

Junior Isaac Ybarra (Edinburg, TX/Sharyland HS) finished second in the weight throw with a school record toss of 58 feet, 8 ½ inches. Freshman Margeaux McCarthy (Pharr, TX/PSJA North HS) finished second in the 800 meters in 2:16.

"We had three really strong performances today," said Head Coach Ricky Vaughn. "After a few more meets, we should keep getting stronger and stronger."
