The Lady Broncs had come back to tie the score by winning the third and fourth games, and led, 13-10, in the fifth game when the Huskies rallied to tie it.

"It was a battle back and forth, and we got down, 2-0, came back, and led for most of the fifth game," said UTPA Head Coach Dave Thorn. "We just couldn't put the ball down when we needed to. I'm proud of my team for battling back. We've lost three straight five-game matches, and it's tough."

UTPA fell to 12-12 with the defeat, while Connecticut improved to 13-10. The Lady Broncs will return to action when they host Texas Southern Wednesday evening.
