American split a pair of matches Saturday at the Islander Invitational.
The Lady Broncs defeated Texas Southern, 30-21, 30-18, 26-30 and 30-15,
and lost to Wyoming, 23-30, 22-30, 30-28 and 14-30, at Moody Gym. Muszynski had 14 kills and 15 digs for UT Pan American against Wyoming. Sophomore outside hitter Cathi Netemeyer (Los Fresnos, TX/Los Fresnos HS/Iowa) added 12 kills and 14 digs, Redd added nine kills, and Burke had 38 assists. Michele Rauter led the Cowgirls with 20 kills and 19 digs, Sara Maytorena added 15 kills, and Amy Doman had 50 assists. The Lady Broncs are now 3-11 after splitting their two matches. TSU dropped to 1-12, while Wyoming improved to 11-2. Texas-Pan American will return to action when they host Texas-Permian Basin and Texas Christian next weekend. VB-15-03 092102 |
