Release: Friday, September 27, 2002 LADY BRONCS FALL IN FIVE EDINBURG, TX-The University of Texas-Pan American's volleyball team was just one game from knocking off Conference USA rival Texas Christian at the UTPA Fieldhouse Friday evening. However, the Horned Frogs seized the momentum by winning the third game and turned the tables on the Lady Broncs, winning, 28-30, 28-30, 30-19, 30-21 and 15-7. Texas-Pan American came from behind to win each of the first two games. But TCU hit a torrid .477 in game three, then hit .310 during the final two games and was never headed. "They made an adjustment, shifting their big outside hitter away from (sophomore) Cathi (Netemeyer, Los Fresnos, TX/Los Fresnos HS/Iowa). This was a game of momentum, and they got the momentum away from us and we couldn't get it back. We played well for two games, but when they got ahead in the third game, we became tentative, and we made mistakes, and they took advantage of it. TCU is a good team and you have to put them away when you have the chance." Junior outside hitter Jaclyn Muszynski (Walnut, CA/Walnut HS) led UT Pan American with 23 kills and nine digs. Junior outside hitter Winker Cruz (Harlingen, TX/Harlingen South HS) added 20 kills, 17 digs and a .273 hitting percentage, Netemeyer added 17 digs, and junior libero Jena Rae Rosales (McAllen, TX/McAllen HS) had 14. Dominika Szabo led TCU with 22 kills and 14 digs, while Stephanie Watson and Jenn Cuca had 17 kills apiece. The Lady Broncs fell to 4-12 with the defeat, while TCU improved to 7-8. The Lady Broncs will return to action when they host Centenary next Friday night, October 4th, at the UTPA Fieldhouse. VB-18-03 092702
