LADY BRONC VOLLEYBALL CAMP SET

EDINBURG, TX-Reservations are now being taken for the 2003 Bronc Volleyball Camp, directed by The University of Texas-Pan American Assistant Coach Fabiana de Abreu this summer.

The camp will take place from Monday, July 21st through Thursday, July 24th. The schedule will include individual skill instruction each morning between 8:00 and 11:00 a.m; and team skills each day from 12 noon to 3:00 p.m. Lunch will not be provided. The camp will take place on the UTPA campus.

The individual and team camp will emphasize fundamentals of volleyball. Campers will learn fundamentals, and have a chance to apply what they learn in daily matches. The camp is for students between the fourth and twelfth grades.

Former Lady Broncs Debbie Puente and Misty Cook will be among the instructors assisting de Abreu at the camp.

"We will teach specific skills in the morning," said de Abreu. "In the afternoon, everyone will have a chance to put it all together. We want everyone to have fun, and also have a chance to learn some skills. We will practice individual skills in the morning, and team skills in the afternoon, and, on the last day, we will have a tournament."

The camp fee is $120 per camper, but anyone who pays in full before the first day of camp can save $20 and pay just $100. Anyone who brings a group of eight campers can also pay $100 per camper instead of $120, and campers who bring a group of eight and pay in full in advance can save $40 and pay just $80 each.
