LADY BRONCS ADD HEATHER BRAVO

EDINBURG, TX- The University of Texas-Pan American volleyball team has signed its third recruit for the fall.
Heather Bravo, a 5-11 outside hitter from Las Vegas, Nevada and Durango High School, has signed with the Lady Broncs. She will enter UTPA as a freshman this fall, with four years of eligibility.

Bravo was named All-Conference as her team won conference and Colorado Class 4A championships last fall. The conference title was their third in a row. She also received the Coach's Award. Bravo also played for the Nevada Juniors, one of the top-ranked clubs in the United States.

"Heather is an outstanding player who comes from winning traditions, both in high school, and nationally at the club level," said UTPA Head Coach Dave Thorn. "She is a good all-around player with good ball control skills who comes up big in big situations. We're very excited to add a student-athlete of Heather's caliber to the UTPA volleyball team."

Bravo joins Jennifer Dameworth of Franklin High School in El Paso, Texas and Chrissie Carrigan of Mount Douglas Secondary School in Victoria, British Columbia as Lady Bronc recruits for the fall.
