EDINBURG, TX-Saturday evening, The University of Texas-Pan American's women's basketball team will play at home for the first time in 25 days. But they'll have barely 48 hours to get ready for it.

The Lady Broncs, who lost at Southwest Missouri State Thursday evening, return home to play arch-rival Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Saturday evening. Game time at the UTPA Fieldhouse is 7:00 p.m.

Texas-Pan American is 7-11. The Lady Broncs have lost four games in succession since winning at Sacramento State January 7th. However, two of the games on their recent six-game road trip went down to the wire, and they played SMSU even in the second half of their game Thursday evening.

"Saturday is the start of the final third of the season for us," said UTPA Head Coach DeAnn Craft. "At this level, this game is very hard if you don't make shots. Until we make shots, we will struggle."

Texas A&M-Corpus Christi has a 12-8 record and has won three games in a row. They have allowed more than 60 points only once in their last seven games.

"Corpus could be the most athletic team that we will play this year," said Craft. "Their inside people are very good, and their point guard is tremendous. Corpus has blown some people out this year. They beat Drake by 20, and Southwest Missouri State beat them by nine. They are better than they were last year. We will have to play with a lot of discipline, and get some strong play out of our bench."

After Saturday night's game, the Lady Broncs will return to action when they host Incarnate Word Tuesday evening.
