EDINBURG, TX -The University of Texas-Pan-American's women's basketball team will return to action when they visit Prairie View A&M Monday evening, Game time is 7:00 p.m. at PVAMU's Nicks Building.

The Lady Broncs will take a 9-13 record into Monday evening's game. They are coming off a 57-56 overtime loss to Northern Colorado last Tuesday evening at the UTPA Fieldhouse. "Our offense has to catch up to our defense," said UTPA Head Coach DeAnn Craft. "We played great defense against Northern Colorado, but we just couldn't put the ball in the basket. Eventually, that will catch up to you."

Prairie View A&M is 4-13, and broke a two-game losing streak with a 72-68 victory against arch-rival Texas Southern Saturday night. The Lady Panthers have played eight home games, and are 4-4 at the Nicks Building and 0-9 away from their home court.

Texas-Pan American defeated PVAMU, 64-52 at the UTPA Fieldhouse on New Year's Eve. Craft expects a battle Monday night.

"We want to really try to get out of the gate early against Prairie View," said UTPA Head Women's Coach DeAnn Craft. "We need to put the ball in the basket. Prairie View is quick at every position, and they're an extremely scrappy team. They penetrate and kick out very well, and if they start hitting those outside shots, they can scare you."

After Monday night's game, the Lady Broncs will return to action when they host Louisiana-Lafayette Monday, February 16th.
