Women's Basketball Assistant Coach
Kate Galigan

Former University of Nebraska All-Conference player Kate Galligan will enter her third year as a member of the Lady Bronc basketball coaching staff in 2003-2004.

Galligan came to The University of Texas-Pan American after serving three seasons as an assistant coach at the University of Pittsburgh of the Big East Conference.

A four-year starter for Nebraska between 1992 and 1996, Galligan was a second team All-Big Eight Conference player at NU. A excellent student-athlete, Galligan was named to the Big Eight’s First Team All-Academic Squad in three of her four seasons.

Galligan began her coaching career at her alma mater, serving as an administrative assistant for the Huskers. She continued her career by moving to the University of Nebraska-Kearney, where she served as a Graduate Assistant Coach. Galligan also served as the administrative director for the University of Nebraska-Kearney All-Star Loper Basketball Camps.

“I am very excited to be part of a program that is building and on the rise,” said Galligan. “I am most excited about coaching with people I am familiar with, who share similar philosophies. I am looking forward to contributing in all aspects of the Lady Bronc basketball program, and helping out as our program continues to improve.”
