"I was really happy for our team, it came together for us," said UTPA Head Coach Barb Odale. "Stefanie and Nikki actually didn't start out very well, but the held it together and came back and played very well. We were a little disappointed because we played well and are still in fifth place, but we're playing against some really good teams. All of the schools here except two are ranked ahead of us, and Iowa State, Oral Roberts and possibly Northern Iowa will be in the NCAAs this year."
The tournament will conclude Tuesday.
