Edinburg, Texas - Southern Illinois held on to its lead to win the Bronc Intercollegiate Classic at The Club at Cimarron in Mission. The Salukis shot 293-297-320 for a 910 and won by 11 strokes over Texas State-San Marcos. Mc Neese State shot a third round low of 308 and finished with 923 to edge out Texas-Pan American with 927. Team scores are listed below.

Individually, Ashley Kelley (Texas State-San Marcos) shot a round low of 73 to win by one stroke over Maria Engstrom of McNeese State. Kelley finished with a 220 to 221 for Engstrom. Nicole Boychuk (So./Conroe, Texas/Willis HS) fell short in her comeback bid finishing at 222 and tying for third. She had been seven strokes behind the leader after the first round.

"I thought we played well today." Said head coach Barb Odale. "It's always tough when you don't win. It was disappointing that we were so close to second coming into today (two shots back) and we couldn't advance or hold onto third."

Texas-Pan American heads to the Virgin Island to play in the Xavier Invitational on March 12-14.
