St. Croix, Virgin Islands - Texas-Pan American made a big jump on the final round of the St. Croix Collegiate Classic. The Lady Broncs shot 317 to finish with 987 and moved from 12th to 9th.

SMU shot 296-311-309 for a 916 to win by 13 strokes over #36 Baylor. #40 Texas Tech was 3rd (317-321-309=947). UTPA finished ahead of Wyoming, Texas State-San Marcos, Longwood, Wichita State and Rend Lake.

Individually, Samantha Richards of Illinois State shot 76-76-74 for a 226 and won by one stroke over Kristina Rothengatte of SMU (73-75-79). The top finisher for Texas-Pan American was Elizabeth Rodriguez (Fr./Kingwood, Texas/Kingwood HS) who shot 86-84-73 for a 243 to finish 33rd. Her score of 73 was the lowest score of the third round in the tournament.

Texas-Pan American is back in action, March 19-21 at the Baylor/Tapatio Springs Shootout in Boerne, Texas.
