NICOLE BOYCHUK SIGNS WITH LADY BRONCS

EDINBURG, TX-The University of Texas-Pan American women’s golf team has added its newest member.

Nicole Boychuk of Conroe, Texas, and Willis High School will join the Lady Broncs. She will enter school as a freshman, with four years of eligibility.

Boychuk qualified for the state Class 4A Tournament as a junior, and has only been playing golf for two and a half years. She won the ReMax Long Drive Contest in the Houston area, and advanced to state competition. A good student, Boychuk was among the top ten members of her graduating class.

“Nikki is a good all-around athlete,” said UTPA Head Coach Barb Odale. “She qualified for state as a junior while playing in the toughest 4A region in the state, and with only a year and a half of golf experience. She has a lot of talent, since she was the captain of her high school volleyball team, and she pitched a no-hitter in softball. She’s a great all-around person, and she will only get better.”
