LADY BRONCS FALL TO MCNEESE STATE, 7-0

EDINBURG, TX-McNeese State won all nine matches and defeated The University of Texas-Pan American's women's tennis team, 7-0, at the Cox Tennis Center Wednesday afternoon.

The Cowgirls won all three matches to earn the doubles point, then won all six singles matches.

Senior Elisabet Mateos (Barcelona, Spain/Laredo CC/Arnau Cadell HS), junior Jessica Brown (Sioux City, North HS) and sophomore Kathryn Waslen (Calgary, AB/West Island College) were all honored prior to the match on Senior Day. All three student-athletes will be graduating at the end of the semester.

"McNeese State was the better team, and they proved it," said UTPA Head Coach Todd Chapman. "We didn't win that many matches this year, but we worked hard and improved. We have to build on what we accomplished this year for the future. "

The Lady Broncs fell to 5-16 with the defeat, while MSU improved to 10-7 with the victory. The match was the final contest of the season for the Lady Broncs.
