Lorraine Garcia2004 OUTLOOK: Will try to transfer her success in cross country to the track this spring. COACH'S COMMENTS: "Lorraine stepped in and had a very good freshman season in cross country, finishing as our top runner in all but one meet. With continued experience, she will have a great career." 2003 XC: Was the Lady Broncs' top finished in five of six meets. Finished 35th at the Lobo Invitational, was third at UTSA, finished 22nd at th Texas A&M-CC Splash, was 112th at the Chile Pepper Invitational, finished 12th at the Independent Championships. and was 61st at the NCAA South Central Regional Championships. NIXON HIGH SCHOOL: Was THE district champion and finished seventh at the state meet in the two mile run Also was district champ in the mile....Best marks are 5:21 for the mile and 11:31 for the two mile.....Qualified for regionals in both cross country and track and field in each of her four years at Nixon HS.........Was Nixon's MVP in track and field in 2003......NHS' MVP in cross country in both 2000 and 2002........Chosen for Cross Country Who's Who.....Set city record for 3200 meters.......Graduated with honors in the top 25 per cent of her class.
