EDINBURG, TX-A big test awaits The University of Texas-Pan American's men's and women's cross country teams at the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Splash in Corpus Christi, Friday, Oct. 3. Three of the top 11 ranked teams in the South Central Region will be competing.

On the men's side, Rice University is ranked seventh, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi is eighth and the University of Houston is 10th. The same three teams are ranked on the women's side as Houston is seventh, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi is eighth and Rice is ranked 11th.

"This will be a very good indication of where we stand." said UTPA Assistant Coach Doug Molnar. "We have had a great week of practice and are really looking forward to competing. We'll have a good test in front of us with some quality teams in our region."
