12/18/01-Robinson Promoted, Rodriguez Resigns: Marisa Robinson
has been promoted to the University of Texas-Pan American's top assistant
cross country and track and field coaching position, replacing Gabe Rodriguez,
who resigned to pursue full-time graduate study.
11/10/01-Broncs 14th at
Regionals: The University of Texas-Pan American men’s cross
country team finished 14th and the women finished 12th
at the NCAA South Central Region Championships at Texas A&M Saturday.
11/05/01-UTPA XC Team to Regionals: The University of Texas-Pan
American cross country team will try to qualify for the NCAA Championships
when they compete at the NCAA Regional Championships at Texas A&M
this Saturday.

1st, Broncs 2nd In Dual Meet:
Sophomore Hugo Cervantes had his best day as a Bronc when the University
of Texas-Pan American hosted Texas A&M-Corpus Christi in a dual meet
at the Ebony Hills Golf Course Friday. Cervantes finished first in the
7, 728 meter men’s race in 26:13.12 as the Broncs finished in second place.

Hosts Final Tuneup:The University of Texas-Pan American cross country team will host
their final tuneup for next weekend’s Region Championships when they host
Texas A&M-Corpus Christi in a dual meet Friday morning at the Edinburg
City Golf Course.

Marisa Robinson, who began her track and field career in Montana and competed
