SALARY: $8.00/hour STATUS: Part-Time Temporary

JOB SUMMARY

This is a hands-on research internship part of a USDA-Hispanic Serving Institution funded project to Citrus Center and University of Texas Pan American and has the objective of training undergraduate students in research. No previous experience is needed.

JOB DUTIES

1. Learn to operate laboratory equipment.
2. Learn molecular biology techniques.
3. Perform analysis using the procedures learned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Be students of the University of Texas Pan American and registered in any biology classes at the Biology Department. Students who were previously registered can also apply, if they did not graduate yet.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Standing, stooping, climbing, and walking are required. Required to lift, carry, push or pull up to 25 lbs.

The above duties may not be performed in every position with this title and the above functions may not include all related duties that may be performed. Management reserves the right to change or reassign job duties or combine positions as deemed necessary. Requires physical activities supportive of the above job duties.
