Application Information

Applications may be obtained online or from the Graduate Program in Psychology Office located on the third floor directly across from the elevators of the Social & Behavioral Sciences (SBS) building on UTPA Campus.  There is no fee for processing an application. 

A complete application includes:

  1. GRE Scores
  2. Undergraduate transcript (and graduate transcript if graduate credit has already been obtained).  The transcripts are used in calculating two Grade Point Averages: last 60 hours enrolled and last 12 hours in psychology including Statistics and Experimental Psychology course grades.
  3. A completed and signed Application Form
  4. A 500 word essay of professional objectives and/or interests in psychology
  5. Three (3) letters of recommendation from former faculty or professional associates who are familiar with the applicant's qualifications and/or character

Note: Applications that are not complete on the date of the respective  application Deadline will not be  considered for admission.

The Deadline for applications is Oct. 1,  for consideration for admission into the Masters Program in the Spring, and February 1, for consideration for admission into the program in the Fall.

An Application Form for admission into the Masters in Clinical Psychology Program may be obtained in one of three ways: 1.) downloading an Application Form, 2.) completing an Online Application, or 3.) by obtaining an Application Package from:
