Scholarships at UTPA

At The University of Texas-Pan American we understand how difficult it can be to finance your college education; therefore, we want to inform you of the many scholarships that are available to UTPA Students.

Scholarships are an excellent way to help support your undergraduate or graduate education at the University. Please take a moment to read through the many scholarships that may be available to you.

The Scholarship Office is here to help by providing you with information about scholarship programs, the application process and to assist you with any other questions regarding scholarships.

UTPA scholarships are intended to recognize students for their outstanding academic accomplishments and future potential. The awards are based on various prerequisites and are made possible through the generosity of business firms, organizations, individuals, and University endowed funds.

These scholarships are awarded to students who have completed a scholarship application by the proper deadline date and who have met the criteria required by the donor.

How are scholarship funds disbursed?

Scholarships will be awarded on an annual basis and divided equally between fall 2007 and spring 2008 semesters.

The student’s University account will be credited with the amount of the scholarship award.

Awards are automatically applied towards tuition and fees. If there are any remaining funds after tuition and fees have been paid, a check will be mailed to the student’s billing address, which takes place after the 12th class day of the semester.
