Cost Savings

After the tuition and fee recommendations were made by the COEC, the president met with the vice presidents to make cost reductions which would reduce the recommended increases in designated tuition rates. The committee had recommended designated tuition rates of $71/SCH (FY 2007) and $87/SCH (FY 2008). Over $3.6 million in cost savings was identified. This brought the rates down to $66/SCH and $82/SCH for FY 2007 and FY 2008, respectively which have since been approved by the University of Texas System Board of Regents.
